In affiliation with EndGameTV, we are happy to announce that the Mario Kart World Cup is going to be making a return this year, featuring the likes of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Tour, and Mario Kart Wii! All three communities will be coming together to give a show to remember, and we hope you’re all looking forward to it!
World Cup Format
The format is basically the same as it has been in previous years with one main difference. Rather than starting immediately with a group stage into the bracket, some of the lower-projected teams will participate in a play-in stage during the first weekend. Any of the teams who advance from this stage will go on to participate in the regular group stage, lasting for two weeks, and finally, teams that advance from the group stage will face off in the bracket in the final weekend(s) until a champion is crowned. Just to be clear, seeing as it is very early on, these plans are subject to change and could vary for each game depending on the number of teams that sign up.
