MKU Staff members help with the general maintenance/continuation of Mario Kart Universal (MKU). Those applying need to be able to show motivation to help maintain and improve MKU by contributing to discussions, ideas, and problems that surface. Staff members also bear the responsibility of being a Division Admin during MKU seasons. This means that those applying need to be able to handle and resolve questions/issues that pop up within their division. This can range from reschedules and penalties, to conduct violations, should any arise.
Perhaps most importantly, staff members are expected to have extensive knowledge of all the teams signed up for MKU, for seedings purposes. As MKU continues to grow, it becomes more and more difficult to accurately seed each and every division — having individuals with experience in different sectors of the community not only grants an abundance of representation but also greatly assists in seedings.
In regards to the seeding process specifically, staff members should expect to put in a fairly decent amount of time and effort (several hours) prior to each season. This is to ensure their personal seedings are as accurate and unbiased as possible.
Previous experience, leadership, good activity, and decision-making are all desired traits for this position. A high level of experience within the community, in particular, is desired, but not essential. Having access to an app that can open and edit .xls files like Excel or Google Sheets is also preferred, as that is where most of our work will take place outside of Discord.
