[Announcement] Site Changes, Name Changes, and Alt Accounts

Hey guys, I'd like to discuss an issue that we are dealing with more commonly on the site as of recent. As you see in the thread title, people obviously want to change their names, but they just make a new account to "bypass" our rule of name changes. Our rule on MKCentral is that if you would like your name changed quarterly, you will need to be a MKCentral Supporter , otherwise you cannot change your name unless we announce a grace period in which we will do so.

There have been cases of people making new accounts to get a new name, and we are at the point where we cannot accept that being done anymore. If you make any alt accounts as of today, you will be banned from MKCentral*. Do NOT create a new account if you forgot your password, simply message an Admin ( @Rookie @Jazzy or @Nato ) and we will be able to help you reset your password to get into your old account.

* - The ban length will be determined at the time of ban, there is no set length.

A reminder for those that aren't aware of any name change rules:

For Members, the following name changes are acceptable:

Bob1 -> Bob
Sam -> Sam23

For Members, the following name changes are not acceptable:

Bob -> Michael
Cynda -> Ultra

For Supporters, any name change is acceptable as long as it's appropriate.

We will also be adding a new section, General Discussion. This will allow you to branch off of Mario Kart to talk about some sports information, your favorite Pokemon, or maybe just casual game discussion about Splatoon 2 Octoling Expansion or ARMS.

What will be permitted

- Gaming News (Game announcements, new features, etc)
- Opinion Threads (Who's your favorite X, X or Y?)
- Predictions (Sports predictions, gaming predictions)
- Game Discussion (yo who still plays ___)

What will not be permitted

- Show your face
- Claim your waifu
- What are you listening to?
- Politics

We are choosing not to allow spam type threads, threads that will lag due to too many embedded videos, or politics because this is to be more of a fun and laid back section, not some Trump vs Hillary heated discussion, that can take place in other discord servers, but not on the site please.
