Due to the huge demand coming from the 200cc community, we've decided to run a UML style league over the summer. As we've seen in the past, leagues like MKU, and LF have run UML style tournaments, with different levels of success due to the varying player bases. In order for this to be successful though, it will need a dedicated and active player base.
We're asking that everyone who is interested in playing to please make sure that they can actually play the matches in order to hopefully have no forfeits and a smooth running group pool along with brackets. In order to do this, 200L staff have made a poll to find out the best time for matches to take place.
What is UML?
UML is a tournament where team captains select players from a "player pool" to help build their "dream team" and beat other drafted teams. The minimum for teams would be 10 players, and at minimum there would also be 4 teams, but the more players the better the tournament becomes.
UML Captains
Anyone can choose to sign up for a captain, however staff will choose those who have been reliable/responsible in the past to captain for the event. The number of captains depends on the amount of players as well. You can expect that for every 10 players that sign up, there will be another captain as well as another team.
Drafting
The beginning order of draft picks will be determined on who is captaining. Along with this, the draft will be in snake order, meaning the person who picks last in the first round would get the first pick in the second round, and so on. If possible, the draft will be streamed live on the MKC Twitch channel.
