Being a staff member for the community is a rewarding opportunity, and it's a great way to both improve the community as a whole and listen to those around you to strive to greater heights. As great as it sounds, every staff role also comes with heavy expectations, as we try to look for the most supportive and reliable candidates out there.

MKCentral has a number of different staff areas that focus on different elements of making the site and the community function. While that may be the case, all staff groups work closely together to make sure that we can give you the best quality possible whether it comes to events in the community or making sure we look our best when it matters most.

You can find the applications section for each staff group just above where you found me here. If you know which one you wish to apply for, feel free to read the thread we've provided like this one for that corresponding role, you'll find some more information on what each staff group looks for in a potential team member and what it is they do in the role. Think you're ready to make the jump? Here's how!

A Good Staff Application

Even from my own past experiences in writing them, staff applications are usually difficult to construct because most people don't know what to say or what is worth mentioning about themselves, and for newer members, may not have anything to give them a leg up in terms of experience. As a continuous staff member through the ages, I'll give you a few tips on things that you can include in your application, and just general information that may lighten your load.

- Overall time you've spent in the community: While you may not have been a staff member (or maybe you have), the time you've spent with us is still worth noting! Being in the community and supporting it with your activity, even off of staff, shows that you have commitment.

~~or~~

- Past staff experience (if applicable): If you have spent some time up top with us in the past, it's absolutely worth letting us know about some of the work you've done or contributed to, where it comes from doesn't really matter!

- Timezone that you reside in and/or country you're from: A lot of our staff groups try to maintain an even distribution of where our team members are located and the languages we're able to communicate in so we can make sure we can represent ourselves as much as we can.

- How can we get a hold of you?: Considering the community is quite focussed on Discord for our social elements, letting us know you're Discord ID is important so we can talk to you personally and ask any questions!

Arguably the most important part about these applications is to just be yourself. Everyone is different, and we think it gives our staff teams more flavour to have unique individuals even while we work together, so let us know what makes you, well, you! Have some fun with your applications, tell us something we don't see every day (keep it safe for work, of course).

Best of luck, and as always, we're happy to see your support!
