Because it is written in ruleset.
It would be unfair for Sz and ML to have a loss against you while NRB and HN get a freewin only because they were playing you after you dropped.

It is more unfair to the teams that lost because now NRB and HN get guaranteed free wins, by balancing all your matches to forfeits it puts every team on an even playing field which is the most fair thing we can do when a team drops mid season
