Before starting this announcement, I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to @Vike for volunteering to work with me for the past 3-4 months on this massive project. This wouldn't be possible without him, and I felt like it was best to make sure his efforts were recognized at the top of this post.
Since the beginning of this server, we have always relied on Google Sheets as our Leaderboard. However, as this server grew exponentially in size, it quickly became obvious that Google Sheets was no longer a viable option for us. We've done the absolute best that we can to come up with new methods of updating quicker, but at the end of the day having to rely on it was still always a crutch and made things more complicated than they should have been. Additionally, more complicated statistics and results could not be stored on the sheet without causing severe lag, only MMR gains and losses for each player.
Those days are now behind us, as we have now successfully transitioned our leaderboard to a new Lounge Website. With this site, there are many new features for Lounge players to enjoy:
- You can now view the event tables and MMR tables for all of your events from now on by going to your profile page
- Individual scores are now stored, allowing for more detailed statistics
- A leaderboard that doesn't crash browsers on low-end computers and most mobile devices
In addition to the leaderboard site, stats bot has now been enhanced:
- More statistics are now shown, such as Average Score, Top Score, and Partner Average:
- A new command has been added called ^last10, which only displays statistics about your last 10 matches:
On top of all of this, there are more things that are possible with this website that could happen in the near future, such as weekly or monthly statistics, and much more!
Since we've moved to the website, all players' current MMRs have been transferred over, however all other stats will be reset; therefore, everyone will start at 0 events again. Old stats can always be viewed by looking at the old spreadsheets in the #leaderboard channel.
That's all for now, thanks for reading and enjoy the new features!
