Help converting to your time zone: http://time.is/EDT / http://time.is/CEST / http://time.is/JST
Check-ins will close 2 hours before the event rather than 1 hour like usual, as this event takes more preparation and set-up than other events. Please make sure your Discord on your registry profile is correct before signing up so the admins can contact you with crucial info about your partner, and room host.
Once you check into the event, an event organizer (or MKC Staff member) will DM you a prompt that looks somewhat like the following:
One thing about names: if your name is "F4?" for example, then your partner's name will be "F4!".
The difference from Secret Santa compared to other events is that the players must add the host, rather than the host typically adding the players. This is to prevent as few players' identities from being made public as possible, since people's friend codes could be looked up on via the registry. The host FC for the room you are in will be the only FC provided on the thread.
HOSTS: Rather than posting the results on the thread like usual, you MUST DM the table to one of the listed contacts provided on the thread.

Check-in Tutorial
As it is a 'Secret Santa' event, you won't be able to choose your partner and your partner will be randomized. Another thing we will enforce is that you must use one of the default Miis as your Mii between races. If you have your mii as your switch avatar, consider changing that too. This will give more secrecy as to who your partner is, and keep the spirit of the event going. Also, please make your mii name is your registry name when signing up (or some form of it).Three hours before the tournament starts (See Registration Deadline/Check-ins Open time), check-ins will open. To check in for your team, go to the tournament page and you should see this on the top of the page:
Simply click Check In, and you're done! You should see this page after you click the button:

Your host is: A1 ?
Add by: :xx.

d. In the event that two teams tie, the following criteria will be used to determine who advances to the next round:
- The team with the player who scored the most points will advance. For example if two teams are tied with 100 points, but one team has 55 + 45 while the other has 52 + 48, the team with the player who scored 55 points in the room will advance.
- If one of the tied teams is listed as a host, they will automatically advance.
- If the previous two requirements are tied, the team who registered for the tournament first will advance. Since this is Secret Santa and players sign up individually, the time a team signed up will be considered as the time that the player who registered the latest on a team signed up.
