Note: The MKCentral Staff is currently split up into 3 different sectors. Please note what job you're apply for, first and foremost. When accepted to Site Staff, you'll be given a primary job. If you get accepted, you'll be allowed to contribute to the other staff jobs if you please, but performance will be based on what you do for the position you hold.

Description of positions:

User Management - Recruiting

Moderators on the user management team will be discussing topics like player bans, reports, as well as possible conduct strikes or warnings against certain players. Due to the nature of this job, User Management Staff need to remain as unbiased as possible when it comes to every situation the staff group discusses, even if the person in question is someone you’re buddy-buddy within the community, or the complete opposite. It's recommended that applicants for this role have a good understanding of our current ban policy.

Ticket Team - Considering Applications

Moderators on the ticket team will have the job of being active and managing tickets in the Community Discord Server. The priority for staff on the Ticket Team is helping site users, so it's important that staff have a full understanding of how the community operates. Tasks consist of answering questions, giving name changes, fixing registry details such as friend codes, approving transfers, giving recruiting roles, and answering questions in our #say-hi-and-ask-questions chat.

Community Outlook - Not Recruiting

Community Outlook Staff will mainly be in charge of coming up with and executing ideas to improve site performance. Tasks consist of web development, brainstorming, affiliate work, and being the head organizer of other significant staff groups on the site. This role will usually be closed for recruiting since it requires the most amount of community / eSports experience. We'll still read applications and heavily consider qualified candidates, but please understand only completely exceptional apps will be considered. It is encouraged for members of the other two teams to join discussions about community outlook, but to be recruited solely for this to be your staff job will require rare to find skills / experience.

Roles that are currently recruiting are the only ones we're really considering heavily, for reference.

It goes without saying, but as a Moderator on MKCentral, you will be held to high standards and expected to act as a role model would. You will be expected to be someone that can be reached out to on Discord or on the forums if someone needs help with anything at all. If someone gives suggestions about the site or any of its features, you’ll be expected to not just leave it in the DM, but to take it seriously and bring it up with other staff members. Moderators are also expected to be friendly, and be in general approachable to anyone, whether that be someone who joined the community today, or 5 years ago.
