Introduction
With the return of SUMMIT tournaments this month, we would also like to announce a new project that we have been working on: the MKCentral SUMMIT League! This is a 6v6 team tournament taking place on nights in Japan, running alongside our biweekly FFA/mogi-style tournaments that take place during the weekends. Our goal is to eventually run a format similar to MKU; however, to successfully run such a format, we need a very accurate idea of how teams' skill levels compare to each other. Therefore, for the pre-season we're going to run a shorter, 2-week tournament with larger divisions of teams.
Pre-Season Format
Seeding
Teams will be divided into divisions of 16 based solely on the average of the 6 players with the most lounge MMR on their roster. Within these divisions, they'll be further divided into four groups of 4 teams each, with each group being roughly the same average skill level.

Group Stage + Bracket
During the first day, these groups will play each other in a single round-robin (3 matches). After the group stage, all teams will play in a double-elimination bracket for days 2-4. The top 2 teams in each group will move on to the winners side of the division bracket, while the bottom 2 teams will start in the losers side, as shown in this image:
Additionally, teams that get eliminated during the first four losers' rounds will be placed in smaller single-elimination brackets with the teams that lost in the same round as them for placement, as shown in this image:

Match Organization
Matches will be organized in the
MKCentral SUMMIT Discord server. We will use a Discord bot to distribute team roles to the captain of each team after registrations are closed.
