Since this season is going to be “power ranked” as seen in the New MKU Format for Season 7 thread, my predictions will be what I believe to be the final power rankings of this season. I do my predictions this way so it accounts for playoffs as well and not just the regular season Only doing a top 40 because not really sure on the bottom 3 divisions

  1. Zealous - I know they lost some players but they also gained some good players and I believe they are capable of winning division 1 again, don’t think they will go undefeated this time though.
  2. Team JBZZ - always a team that can be counted on for a solid performance and can definitely win this division as well, pretty big threat for Zealous
  3. World Friend Star - I think this team would have been good competitors in D1 last season, but I think now that they are in this division and the addition of Joubak could really make them a team you don’t want to mess with
  4. Divine Phoenix - another team that always can put together strong results at the top level, wouldn’t shock me at all if DVP ended in the top 3
  5. High Definition - very interesting team right now coming off the Amplify win, not entirely sure if they can get some of the same results in MKU but I think they have a very strong squad.
  6. Vertex - these next 3 teams could finish in any order, but I think vx is just more adjusted to playing the top dogs so I will give them 6th
  7. Rozando la Katastrofe - very strong team skill-wise for sure, but I wouldn’t guarantee a lot for RK in this division
  8. Melee X - this is probably the wildcard team in this division, not sure how often some key players can play, but if they are around a lot this team can definitely finish above 8th
  9. Aurora - winning this stacked Division 2 will not be an easy task at all for whoever wins it but I think AU is currently the safest pick to win even if Fufu isn’t on the roster anymore.
  10. DJULO - solid squad that can definitely take the win here but I’m not as confident in them as I am with AU
  11. Arcadia Sky - I could see ARC placing higher than 5th in the conference but if they get 5th like I predict they can probably hold their own in a high pressure relegation match
  12. Blizzard - I like some of these additions and they can definitely win this division but I wouldn’t bet on them yet. I do think they could potentially get the win in a promotion series match though if they can’t get this division win out
  13. Mushroom Team X - solid team but I don’t think they are very equipped to compete in this division right now and i think they would be vulnerable in a relegation match
  14. Jean Pierre Pernaut - team that can make anything work and is very solid but not sure if they can get the W in a promotion match
  15. DirtMK White - not sure how well they can handle going into this division with their main talent from last season in another team in their conference now, but they can scrape a win or two out here
  16. Magikart Community Alpha - I like this team but I don’t think they can handle this division, lots of problems and potential issues they could encounter over here. Hoping MKC can pull out some wins though
  17. Wii Elite Clan - I know they lost some players to one of the other german teams in this division but if these players returning are going to be back strong they can definitely make things happen this season
  18. Shells from Hell - They have some really nice weapons and could potentially even win the division. Expect them to put up some nice numbers on the board
  19. Dynamite Alpha - Really strong last season although it appears some key players might not be around as much. There is also a division 9 and division 10 player registered but my guy Pedro is back so this team can hold up fine.
  20. Ink Dragons - I could see this team winning the division if things go smoothly but I think their conference has more threats for them than the other
  21. Arcadia Terra - if Kevin has those red shell codes ready to go this D3 will get bodied by them
  22. Jean Pierre Papin - very underrated team and I think that they will get a nice opportunity to prove themselves in this division
  23. Rozando la Kalamidad - This team is pretty good, would not shock me at all if they make top 3 in their conference despite me placing them here in 5th. I wouldnt see them struggling vs any div 3 teams so I will give them the better relegation win here
  24. World Friend Moon - This team can be very scary but the inconsistency in them is worrying. They come ready to play for the important matches though so I think they could win a relegation match
  25. Inflow - This team has shown a lot of growth and shows improvement each season, adding Ronan can be big in this division as well and they definitely can come higher here, dont think they can win a promotion match yet though
  26. Dynamite Omega - I know we had to move up players but I still think the boys and I got the ability to compete in this division and we can do well. Predicting my teams spot might be a bit strange but for the practical purpose of this prediction I am ranking it
  27. Mushroom Team Y - I know they just got very hot in amplify but I cant see a direct replication of amplify results with these MT roster moves
  28. Yoshi Family - I like this team but i think they are just simply the weakest team in that conference, hope I am wrong here though
  29. Sincerely Yours - placing this team is hard and they can place anywhere here, so I am going for a safe middle spot for them in this division. Their main runners are very strong for this division though so they can potentially win the division if things run smoothly
  30. Pirates of Duisburg - with a similar roster and strategy PoD can hold their own in the middle of this division, not much to comment on here
  31. DirtMK Black - really it is a team that can do really well or really bad here, but I don't feel entirely confident on certain aspects with this team so I will drop them here
  32. Magikart Community Beta - made some interesting roster changes but I still think they can finish alright here
  33. Zten - rooting on the chinese team to win D4, and I think they have the guys to do it and put in work
  34. Horizon - I actually think this new look Hz can do pretty well here, Zeta is a nice addition as well so look out for them here
  35. Elegance - this team personally has me curious since they bring a variety of lineups and players, solid roster but not sure on some players attendance so I will leave them here for now. If these guys end 5th in the conference they definitely can win the relegation match
  36. Final Emblem - very similar story as with Elegance, putting FE below them though since I think their conference is stronger than Es
  37. Renegades - they definitely have a lot of weapons to win as well as some strong talent to win this division but I am not very sold on other aspects so I think they get taken out of semis and lose the promotion series
  38. Noob Reborn - this is where my knowledge starts to drop but I like NRB and they usually put good numbers on the board so I think they will end around here
  39. Black Wolves - I know BW started nicely last season and then by the end things took a bit of a turn, I dont really think BW can really hold their own in this conference but I want to be proven wrong
  40. Team Rocket - underrated team but I do not think they are ready to enter this division and it will show

Dm me if you want me to argue on some PR / S7 choices
I have edited S7 and W1 for the very last time, now hopefully I get 75% of right this time...

We are back folks, another season of the Mario Kart Hockey League (MKHL) is coming to you! Things are spicy this time around with a new format. As usual, we’ll dive right in!

Division 1:

Conference A:
Zealous
Vertex
Arcadia Sky
Divine Phoenix
Melee X
Magikart Community Alpha

Conference B:
Team JBZZ
World Friend Star
High Definition
Rozando la Katastrofe
Mushroom Team X
DirtMK White

Playoffs:
QF - Vertex over High definition
QF – World Friend Star over Arcadia Sky
SF1 – Team JBZZ over Vertex
SF2 – Zealous over World Friend Star
F – Zealous 2-1 Team JBZZ

MVP: JBZZ Pyrax [106.9]

Breakthrough Candidates: Me Tsubasa / vx Energy / ARC Corazon /

We’ll start with conference A. Zealous is first, as the defending champions. The roster is bolstered even more now. The loss of Swift hurt who left to sign with MKC on a massive contract as Z could not pay what he was looking for. However, Z picked up Strike on an oddly low contract for his ability, ring chasing is just that OP. Robel also came back off an extended injury and signed a small one-year deal in order to hope to have a great year and be able to sign a major long-term deal somewhere after this season. A roster of the likes of: Demon (last season’s Rocket Richard winner) / Ryan’s / Daxx / Dragon / Neo / Strike / Robel shouldn’t have any issues putting up results. I have Vertex in 2nd. The team made quite a few off-season pick ups, the most notable being Leo and Energy. Leo’s been a dominant force in the minor league and looks to extend that in the majors. Energy has had a rougher history, but Vertex’s system seems to be working really well with him. Than you have the usuals, Felix/Tricky/Marc/Huaya/Ryou. The extended training camps have helped the newly formed roster mesh together better as well and they look to give themselves a shot at the title. Felix is looking to take it a step further after taking home another Bill Masterton memorial trophy. If I was a safe man, I’d put DVP third, but I need to have more ego for my own team than I usually do so I’m going to give us the knock for playoffs. The only changes in the roster where Be being promoted to Sky and the signing of Cuj, a good defensive prospect that looks to provide some support at the blue line when he can. The biggest concern with this squad is Corazon’s hamstring tightness he’s been dealing with the past season. The team needs to not overuse him to make sure it can recover 100% and if he gets that knock from the doctors, look out. The major concern for Divine Phoenix is their fan-favourite future Hall of Famer Slater announcing his retirement from the league. This is a big blow to the team, but the roster is still really solid with the likes of Twonk / Roberto / Maxim / Despair leading the offence. However much the communication on ice is affected without Slater will be how far this team goes. I have Melee X 5th. Unfortunately, the acquired trade deadline pickup of Dayem last season to make a title run didn’t resign with the team and instead went to JBZZ. Despair also decided to sign with DVP as well, and Sebas to RK. The title window seems closed, but this team can still provide some big games. The roster has switched pretty significantly and looks like they are playing the long-game to build a really strong core up again. The Japanese factor is also something to consider if the work visa’s work out. This leads me to having MKC last. After debates in the commissioner’s office, MKC ended up getting the knock to play in D1. I was going to have them as D2 champions but that will be put on hold. There’s rumors the locker room isn’t in the best condition which is worrying but this team can definitely put up some good games if they stay motivated. A lineup will by the likes of Swift, who MKC paid a large amount for to bring a superstar face for the fans, and fan-favourite Babou who has been with the team for the entire building process. Add on Samovar, JB who are sleepers in the league, and you got a decent offence. The back end of the lineup may be concerning though.

Moving onto conference B. I have Team JBZZ in first. To put it simply, like Z, they are just the most talented roster in the conference. Pyrax and Power, one of the most dominating duos in the league leads the team. Followed by endless home-grown depth of the likes of Lez (three time Norris Trophy winner) / Nitroco / Thomas / Origin / Athaway / Play and getting Dayem to re-sign with them. This roster shouldn’t have any issues. I have World Friend Star in 2nd. Wf had a fantastic season in the top minor league taking home the championship with only losing one game and they look to continue that momentum. The core has stayed consistent and have endured more training camps and are only getting stronger with each other. The only downside is sources say Roks had a hearing for off-ice issues during the off-season and will be missing some of the season because of this, official notes have yet to be posted about this. This will be a setback but the team has the tools to work around it with the likes of Mars / Valer / Lanfi / Theo / Beast / Flow / Sparks for example. Wf also signed Joubak for the season. I have HD in third, and they could easily get second but their history of league format prevented me from putting them higher this time. A lineup of Joebo / Zebe (Frank J. Selke Trophy winner) / Chibi who seems to be back in top form / Bryce / Rookie (King Clancy Trophy winner) / Jamie is a scary line-up. High end talent at the top, and smart players on the blue line to help the offence capitalize on the talent. I have RK in 4th, raw talent wise, this is one of the stronger teams but I can’t let the weaker chemistry and injury proneness compared to the three teams above could my mind. A rotation of Alexony / Angel / Luigeon / Millan / Roberto / Sebas / Sliver looks very scary. If the team can stay off the disabled list and build up some more chemistry during the season playoffs are not out of the question. This leader to MT in 5th. Mushroom Team has been one of the more active teams in the off-season. Ricke deciding to not re-sign hurts but the team has called up Neykan and Moe who had a great seasons for the minor league affiliated. The team also signed Eliam and Kaori is back from the disabled list. A line up of FalcoX / Kokote / yfm / Ky on the front end with a rotation on the blue line is nothing to scoff at. MT looks to continue their successes form last season. This leaves me putting DirtMK White as the last seed. DMK had one of the roughest off seasons losing Alexony and Luigeon to RK. The main strength of this team however is their chemistry developed through multiple training camps. This isn’t a top roster raw talent wise but it’s a case of the sum is greater than the whole or the parts. Manster will also need to have another great season after breaking through last season.

This brings us to playoffs. I have Vertex beating out HD in the QF. This match will be w/n 10 points but vx will barely edge out. The battle of the blue lines will be the pivotal point of note in this matchup. Than on the other side I have World Friend Star taking our Arcadia Sky. World Friend has had Arcadia’s number over the last couple tournaments and looks to be the favourite to keep it that way. ARC will need to rely on their adjustments in the off-season to find a way to solve the riddle that is WF if they want to move on. This brings us to the semi-finals. I have JBZZ over Vertex and Zealous over world friend. Not much to say here other than they are the two best teams now. I could see Vertex giving JBZZ a run for their money but in the end JBZZ will come out on top. The finals will be an endless classic in terms of sports. Homegrown talent fostered through the system vs. the Money spending for endless talent. Sadly, the world is not kind and money usually win which is why I’m giving Zealous the bout of confidence, but it will be a 2-1 series.

For MVP I’m playing it safe and going Pyrax. Breakthrough Candidates are a new segment for the article. What these are, are players that I can see having a breakthrough season and getting their names on the map considerably more than they are already, there will be 3 per division. Me Tsubasa flashed brilliance in the final game of last season that was pretty lowkey. Whether Melee X can get him lots of playing time is another story, but if he can he can definitely put Japan on the map in this league. Vx Energy is another, the biggest issue for him was finding a system that works and vx seems to be that place so far and is getting really good results In the training camps. He’s looking to extend that into the season. ARC Corazon is the third, assuming the hamstring tightness doesn’t cause too much concern he’s looking to provide a lot to the team offensively, and defensively and will be a key factor to the teams success. Another thing to note here since this individual didn’t sign with a team this season but CB Linkos was the winner of the Hart trophy last season.

Division 2:

Conference A:
Blizzard
Jean Pierre Pernaut
Rozando la Kalamidad
Ink Dragons
Aurora
Yoshi Family

Conference B:
DJULO
Shells From Hell
Wii Elite Clan
Dynamite Alpha
Mushroom Team Y
World Friend Moon

Playoffs:
QF: Shells from Hell Rozando la Kalamidad
QF: Jean-Pierre Pernaut over Wii Elite Clan
SF: Shells from Hell over Blizzard
SF: DJULO over Jean-Pierre Pernaut
F: Shell from Hell 2-0 DJULO

MVP: SH Julian [103.4]

Breakthrough Candidates: DJULO Dydy / Bz Jinny / SH Juls

For conference A I have Blizzard first. Coming off a rough season, this team has positioned itself to have a strong season with an effective off-season. Dashi has been called up from the minors to provide help. Lots of off-season signings were made to some examples being: Paul / Waenot / Ryan5. The back end depth hurt Bz a lot last season and they have fixed that for this one. I rotation of the likes of Devoty / Jinny / Alpha / Dashi / Waenot / Paul / Ryan looking promising. I have JPP in 2nd place. The loss of Dydy hurts but the team has gotten Xray to resign and has called up Impo from the minors which more than fixes up the loss. The core of this roster has been consistent for the passed few seasons and only is getting stronger together and I think this will get them into the playoffs. The biggest point to note is the depth is really solid, and pretty much anyone on the roster can justifiably be sent to the ice on a given day. I have RK2 as the third seed. This team seems really sleeper to me. I lineup of like Akeno / Brye / Frogger / Thinsky / Wemex / Anxo seems lowkey seems strong. RK as a whole is also one of the most active in setting up training camps and this can go a long way. I have Ink Dragons as 4th. After a great season last season, the team is looking to continue onto that. The roster has lost a couple key pieces from last season and they are playing in a much harder environment, but I think they will be competitive still. Diego was also signed in the off-season after having a great season with Black Wolves. Add Aketx / ApG / WaMi / Miguel / to that and you got a strong lineup going with lots of choices and depth for the back end. I think RK is a bit more talented but if the cards are played right ID could land the final playoff spot. This leads me to having AU in 5th. My main concerns for this higher seed are the locker room can get a little spicy at times and unlike the other teams in this division that I feel like have improved a lot over the last season, has stayed in the same place and I think that may catch up this season. Playoffs are in the question, this conference is close in my opinion, closer than most. If the injuries can be kept low, and the morale high a good season could happen, just that has shown to be a hard task for an entire season. This leads me to having Yoshi Family last. The loss of Leo hurts quite a bit, and nothing was able to be done to fix that gap. This roster will get some wins but I just feel it is the weakest on paper in the conference.

Moving onto conference B I have DJULO in first. Quite honestly, the DJULO roster looks considerably weaker than in times past. But if DJULO has taught me anything over the seasons it’s that the whole is much, much greater than the sum of it parts. This team always seems to perform considerably better than what paper should suggest and I’m relying on that being the case again here. A lineup of Arukay / Avo / Dydy / Jujuj / Peaqs / Spudd I feel could do some damage. I have Shells from Hell in 2nd place. This team has been whoring training camps and are a sleeper pick in my opinion. They are also infamous for getting the referee’s calls in their favour which can be very frustrating for their opponents so expect that to play a role here too. The roster is also over saturated considerably, so they will need to only use their top players if they want to grasp a title shot. A lineup of like Engel / gokus / Julian / Juls / Rouguee / Ryan for example could so some nice work imo. This leads to me having WEC third. WEC had one of the most interesting off-seasons. They were unable to resign Waenot and Paul but the face of the franchise, Nizer seems to be back into action. Kyoto has also fully recovered from injury and seems to back into full health. Old veterans Arix (injury), Sealer, and Thommy have also came out of retirement to provide support on the back end if needed. The issue of depth shouldn’t be a worry for this squad and by now everyone knows I fap to depth, shits key. I think this will be WEC’s strongest team in recent history. This would lead to having Dynamite Alpha in 4th place. Can definitely see this team making playoffs too, just this conference, like A, is really competitive. DY is coming off a title season and looks to try and repeat in a much harder division. I’ll be honest I’m out of the loop of who is the most active for this team but looking at the roster I’m seeing a potential thing like: 3up / Aaron / Alfie / Varo as the offense with a cyclable blue line. This offence won’t be easy to keep pucks out of your net. Moving on to MTy now as the 5th seed. This squad has had the biggest surprise of 2019 with getting a 5th place in amplify. A couple members of that roster are now with the first squad, but the roster is still looking solid. I just think a league format is much harsher than a tournament run you can be hot for a couple days. Champ / Diego / Hiska / Rem / Butter / Centels for example I feel could make a pretty good lineup. The back end is interchangeable too which is always nice. It feels like an absolute crime to put wf2 in last, but we ended up here. Wins will be gotten, however. Beni / Elie / Huglou / Vegan will make a solid offence. The back end is where I get a little worried.

Now for playoffs. I think this division will have the most crazy playoffs as it seems like the most balanced to me. For the first QF I will have Shells from Hell taking out Rozando la Kalamidad. This will be a close war but Julian/Juls combo with maybe a bit of ref help will be the difference. The other QF I have WEC taking out JPP. WEC’s a team I believe will get stronger as the season goes on once all the older veterans get back into the grove and will happen to get hot at the perfect time. For the semi finals I have SH making the upset over the 1 seed Blizzard and DJULO barely holding their ground on a +4 win to WEC. For the finals I’ll have SH taking out the other 1 seed to claim the title, in a 2-0 fashion at that.

I have Julian as the MVP. He seemed to have grown a lot as a player with his season in Vertex and I believe he will bring back what he learned to SH and be a major factor to their success. For breakthrough candidates I will start with DJULO Dydy. Dydy seems to have improved a lot recently and with a core as close knit as DJULO I believe he will reap benefits once he’s settled into the system (may already be the case). Secondly, I have Bz Jinny. Jinny has also seemed to improve a lot, and the upgraded skin palette to the Kokote skin can only help. Bz will also have a much stronger back end this season around which will make it easier to stay on the offensive which should a lot compared to last season. My third choice will be SH Juls. Julian will be the main focus of SH but Juls will silently have a great season in the shadows I feel. Like Jinny’s case, being on a team that can work together and provide more pressure will help Juls a lot this time around.

Division 3:

Conference A:
Inflow
Elegance
Jean-Pierre Papin
Pirates of Duisburg
Team Rocket
DirtMK Black

Conference B:
Arcadia Terra
Dynamite Omega
Magikart Community Beta
Final Emblem
Black Wolves
Sincerely Yours

Playoffs:
QF: Elegance over Magikart Community Beta
QF: Dynamite Omega over Jean-pierre papin
SF: Inflow over Dynamite Omega
SF: Arcadia Terra over Elegance
F: Arcadia Terra 2-1 Inflow

MVP: IF Wisch [107.2]

Breakthrough Candidates: E nxjuan / ARC Yui / TR Unai

For conference A I have Inflow winning the it. The activity of this team will be its biggest selling point. The trio of Barn / Joel / Wisch should also be a very threatening top line here. Also important to note that Ronan has officially signed with the team now and could play an important role. I have Elegance in 2nd. Elegance has been close to breaking through in seasons and I feel like this will be the time they make serious noise. Elegance also has been one of the most active teams in the off-season. Multiple signings were made, some to note: Colchoneta / nxjuan1998, and OscarMS. Add on the already core players of Section / RubenD / Draco and you’re looking fine. This brings me to having jpp in 3rd. The papin boys definitely took some hits roster wise with leaves and promotions but the roster is still looking competitive. Coming of a title jpp looks to try and keep up the momentum. Bowen / Dale / Flo / HyTs should make up the offensive line. The backend is where I get a little skeptical. I got the pirates coming in 4th. Losing Dashi to the promotion is a big loss. It’s worth noting that Lezard signed with the team, another big x factor in this conference. Aspio will need to have another career year to make a playoff push. This brings me to Team Rocket who I have 5th. Coming off a D8 banner, TR took a big jump in terms of difficulty. I think the team will be competitive but will not finish as high as they’d want with this skill jump. This is one of the most interesting teams for me though to see where they end up and I wish them luck. A top line of Brantios / IceMan / Unai is pretty solid and can be backed up with Sergiosh / Bermu / Alejo / BoKeRoN. This leads to having DirtMK Black in last. I feel the top offensive line is weaker than the other teams, but the blue line could be solid and bail out some games. I could see this team getting as high as 4th, I just have more confidence in PoD and TR. Whether JmaUD is active or not may play a big role too.

This moves us to conference B. I’m putting Arcadia Terra first; I feel like the boys were under seeded. The team has had some rough patches over the past few seasons but is looking stronger than ever before going into this one. Major points to note as PGM’s injury is healed and he will be back to play, Dew should also be available more often and Yui has come down from Sky to bolster the offence. Tack on Sayan / Kevin / Wolfy / Speck / 42N8 and last seasons Calder winner gdin. The luxury of depth will be one the team will really appreciate. I have Dynamite Omega in 2nd place. DY has shown they are not far off their major league affiliate multiple times. A offence of: Batboo / Gucci / mytDragon will be very strong here. Lots of depth options for the back end too like Erik / Fox / Qadim / Shaiman / Trom should be able to put together good performances. I have MKC Beta in the third slot. The loss of JB will hurt as he was the main communicator on the ice and Christo to the main squad, but I think the team will manage. Coming off a perfect season, this squad looks to continue with success in a much more difficult environment. The off-season signings of AleMacNube and Rafy were huge. Add on Narky / Loic / Tritri / Floki and things are looking nice. I could be missing some sleepers, admittedly, I’m not super familiar with this roster. I have FE in 4th. Quite a few pickups were made in the off-season such as Caizer / Stefan and of course getting Vikler to resign after receiving him from the trade deadline last season. The losses of Chim / Colchoneta and Jupex need to be noted as well. The core of the roster will have changed considerably and may take some time getting used to but it looks like they could steal some games later in the season. This leads to BW in fitfh BW had major unpredicted success by most people going 8-1-1 in a division most thought would lose. Most of the wins were a solid team effort too. This led to Hiro getting the Jack Adams Award. The loss of Diego who is arguably the top forward will hurt but the team has relied on overall team effort and not a couple super stars. The skill jump might be a little to much to face other teams superstars but I’m hoping I’m completely wrong, like last season, and will be rooting for you guys. This leaves SY for last. Talent wise, this teams better. This team has the most effective top line of Jax / Crowe / Jeff but the back end is looking underwhelming to say the least. Hiruko will play a very big roll in bridging this gap. The biggest concern though is the injury proneness. Jax although an elite talent in the entire league, let alone division 3, is known to hit the disabled list multiple times a season and this will greatly affect this team in a bad way if this trend continues. This team is the definition of all or nothing to me. If Jax can stay healthy however, he will MVP the division and SY would finish a lot higher. I’m banking on history repeating itself though.

Playoffs time baby. For my first QF I have Elegance beating MKC Beta. Should be a respectable match but E will get a dominating race on race 10 than chain the track pick for the nail. The other QF I have DY2 over jpp2. Gucci will make the difference In this match. For the first semi-final I have Arcadia Terra over Elegance and the second match Inflow over Dynamite Omega, I just think these two teams are stronger. For the finals I’m going to give the bout to my boys in Terra 2-1 series. This shouldbe a really close series all 3 games and I hope it gets to happen.

I have Wisch as my MVP. Solid player on a team that can provide support. My breakout Candidates are: E nxjuan, I can’t really explain why just my gut talking and it’s pretty big so should listen. ARC Yui, assuming Bell’s Palsy heals, and TR Unai – was a big force for TR last season, albeit it was a much weaker division, I think he has the potential to replicate here where it has more weight.

Division 4:

Conference A:
Fenix
Xtreme Force
Zten
Aesthetic Thunderbolt
Inka Warriors
Mandarina de Schrodinger

Conference B:
Sweatyzard X
Horizon
HyperGentuza Fuego
Noob Reborn
Renegades
Team K8

Playoffs:
QF: Xtreme Force over HyperGentuza Fuego
QF: Zten over Horizon
SF: Fenix over Zten
SF: Sweatyzard X over Xtreme Force
F: Fenix 2-1 Sweatyzard X

MVP: Hz Rhys [108.9]

Breakthrough Candidates: xf Erick / Sz ScraT / X MauricoMK

Conference A I’ll start with Fenix taking the dub. Fenix had a respectable outing last season and made a few off-season signings to bolster the franchise. The general manager is expecting a strong season and I believe they have the tools to do just that. Diego Aran / MauricioMK / Val / and most notably Vincentowsky were the signings in question. That provides major depth pieces. A line up of like: Rolex / Ruben / MauricioMK / VIC / Vincentowsky with a plethora of options to finish the blue line is depth you usually don’t see at that level. In second I have the newcomers of the division, Xtreme Force. This team has been running many training camps in order to prep for their debut season. The team will be led by Erick who will fight for the MVP race. Jair / Krizt / Lycam / MIJUTO and others can try and support Erick. Third place I have Zten. Zten has integrated into the western scene nicely playing in agility and amplify. The roster has been improving every game and I think this will get them a playoff spot. 3 new signings were made that are x factors for me, don’t know anything about them so they could change everyone. Kulinlin / lincw and Wen. Nyanyamilk / Chopin / ReN and anima look to lead the way. Fourth I have Aesthetic thunderbolt. This is a hard one for me because they have 26 people registered and only 6 can play. They won D9 last season to pick up their first title and look to continue with that in a harder division. Santy / Pablo / Edder seems like a good top line but it will be the consistency of their lineups that will determine their fate. 5th place I got Inka Warriors. Losing MauricoMK and Diego are very big hits to the team and I believe it will show this season. Baau / Juanxo / Santamaria and co will need to show the Peruvian pride to compensate for these roster losses. In last I have M$. M$ struggled a lot last season and traded away Vikler for prospects at the deadline (Asier / axelMK / Mister and Pioko). I feel this will be a season for M$ to find their identity and will struggle here but set the foundation for next season.

Conference B. I have Sweatyzard X getting first. They had one of the best off-seasons in terms of signing and considering the relative strength of their respective division. ScraT is a nice pickup and Deimos should be able to help as well, same with TICA. Add Lion and Haxx Au Loto and Janti will be a nice way to close out the line-up. I’m putting Horizon in 2nd. There’s been a change in general management and the culture of the clubhouse seems to be better because of it. Led by big dick Rhys him and his bois are looking to finally have a breakthrough season for Hz and I think this will be it. Admittedly, I don’t know much of this roster overall but I have high hopes for it due to the change of culture, the roster has shuffled a lot too during the off-season. Third I have the HyperGentuza gang. An interesting development with this one with two smaller franchises deciding to merge together and build a stronger team for the local fans. They will be playing at both arenas of their original teams (GMK and NTH) to get both fanbases on board. We’ll see if this marketing campaign pays off and I could see this team getting 2nd if they play their cards right. Jak / Ever / Tokoro / Marc is a nice start to the lineup. Fourth place brings me to Noob Reborn. The loss of superstar AleMacNube was a rough one for the fans to swallow but they got a few prospects out if at least in Carlosf, PaulaBCI, Balkaria, and Rev. Hopefully this will help fill the gap. Having Claus_D, Egeon / Lobo and the Lady Byng award winner Jotabe to fill out the roster. If the prospects pan out playoffs are more in the question. Fifth I have Renegades. This roster is interesting to me to say the least. I feel like I might be underrated it a lot if all the pieces work out so time will tell. Azuza’s nagging hamstring is also a concern and may cause him to miss some games. Crony / Damian / Dylan / Ninja / Tea could make an interesting lineup though. This leaves K8 as my last. A couple off-season signings were made with flashnigth, JeyJey, and Maxx. If these prspects can pan out really well they can finish higher but the roster overall seems underwhelming to me compared the rest. The likes of Sumeria and Supras will need to have career years.

Come playoff time I’ll have Xtreme Force over HyperGentuza Fuego. I think like WEC, xf will peak at the perfect time and only get stronger as the season goes and this will get them to the semi finals. The other Quarter final I have Zten over Horizon. Zten has been practicing a lot and only getting better and I think they’ll make more noise here than they did in Agility and Amplify. The semi finals I have Fenix over Zten, I think Fenix’s roster is just better, not much else to comment on. The other SF I have Sweatyzard X over xtreme force for the same reason. In the finals I have Fenix taking the banner in a 2-1 series over Sweatyzard X. This will be one of, if the not the most hype final in terms of closeness.

For MVP I’m going with big dick Rhys to assert dominance. Breakthrough Candidates are: xf Erick, who will make a statement and become the superstar of xf. Second is Sz ScraT who will be a major force to why Sz will make the finals. Last will be MauricoMK, with a better team around him he should be able to get some solid results.

Division 5:

Conference A:
Alolan Guardians
Kartnita Asada
Barpau Assembly
Kaiser’s
LATIN KART
Sweatyzard Y

Conference B:
Sunset
German Switch Clan
Making Llujua
Hardcore Noobs
HyperGentuza Hielo
Team Rocket 2

Playoffs:
QF: Kartnita Asada over Making Llujua
QF: German Switch Clan over Barpau Assembly
SF: Sunset over Kartnita Asada
SF: Alolan Guardians over German Switch Clan
F: Alolan Guardians 2-1 Sunset

MVP: GSC low [103.1]

Breakthrough Candidates: AG xakob / AG Xeter / KA Cantu

Conference A. I’m going to lead off with Alolan Guardians. The Austrian Splash brothers xakob and Xeter also known as the Evil X’s will claim many heads in this division. And then something like Lukas / Chaso / Milo +1 to top it off. The splash brothers should have a great impact on this division. Second, I have Kartnita Asada, another newcomer. This team has been in the training and is ready to make a statement in their first season, and I believe they will. Cantu will have a great debut season, maybe a potential Calder run. AJ / Javo / Somulo to support that should also be pretty solid here. Not exactly sure how the blue line will pan out, but that offence should be deadly. Third I have Barpau Assembly. After coming off a nice run last season, the team as taken some hits roster wise and were unable to regisn many key pieces such as Mimi / Suzuru / BSDM / Ares. However, a core still exists of Pony / Skuntank, and ElFamoso. So we’ll see what the back end can provide these three. I think the team will see the light that is the post-season, however. 4th I have Kaiser’s. Owen and Justin will be a really good duo in this division but the support for them will most likely be subpar. British and Erractic will be the key factors of this season and if they can provide good seasons the post-season could be a very reasonable reality. In 5th I have LATIN KART. After grabbing a title in the lowest division, they look to play harder competition and try and rise to new heights. Admittingly I could be seeding this team too low and time will tell but I just can’t see enough star power to overtake the other teams’ aces. This leaves Sweatyzard Y in last. Like LATIN KART I just feel like the lack of star power will hurt. To me it seems like Sz is going all out to try and banner with their major affiliate.

Moving on to Conference B, I have Sunset in first place. Carty / Cuky / Harry / Hazen / Bman all grind lounge and this should pay off. Wailtor is a very nice pickup as well just sneaking the deadline. The activity of this team is the biggest benefit for them. But we all know lounge doesn’t translate to wars always so there’s that to potentially be concerned about. Second, I have German Switch Clan. This may sound odd since they lost their carry and they went 0-10 last season, but I think this season will still be a step forward for them. Chris and Low are really nice pickups and Leon started to surge as the new ace after they lost Seb. The team doesn’t have the “iconic” star anymore but it’s much more well rounded and that will go a long way. Third I have Making Llujua. Having a completed dead off-season with no additions or removals is always an interesting case, but not always a bad one. The core of this team seems to have been settled and I think that’s enough to make the playoffs. Fourth I have Hardcore Noobs. Hajime is the star of the franchise and fan favourite. He had the most jerseys sold in the European market last season. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is enough talent to fill out a rest of a lineup that can make a run for the title. HyperGentuza Hielo is my 5th choice. I think this lineup just doesn’t quite match up to the teams above but this lineup has potential to grow with the season and completely prove me wrong, so that’s what I will hope for. Eevooli / Miro / Nox will need to have good seasons for playoffs to be a possibility. This leads me to have Team Rocket 2 in the bottom spot. I feel this team is like HyperGenztuza in pretty much every aspect. I know this pick will be wrong too but it is what it is. viZen will be looking forward to bring the success Team Rocket 1 had last season and implement the systems to Team Rocket 2. CDR will be the X factor in my opinion for how far this team can go.

Playoffs. Sweat. Tears. Dreams. They will all happen here. Which team will claim it’s stake into stardom and put themselves on the map? For the quarters I have Kartnita Asada over Making Llujua and German Switch Clan putting an end to the assembly. I believe KA and GSC will grow a lot more during the season than the other two which is why I’m giving them the knock. For the semi finals I have Sunset over Kartnita Asada. I think this one will be close, but I think Sunset will pull it out last race to get themselves a ticket to the finals. On the other end, I have AG beating GSC in the battle of Germany. The Splash brothers will be the difference in this series. For the finals I also have AG taking the series 2-1 against sunset with a home ice victory to claim the title. The splash brothers will do their thing, but the winning factor will be a pop off by Chaos game 3.

For the MVP I’m going with GSC low, good player and has more experience than the majority, if not all this division. For the breakthrough seasons I’m putting AG Xakob and AG Xeter, the splash brothers to post make their name. And I will give KA Cantu the knock for the other one who will help push KA to the semi finals.

Division 6:
Pirate Hackers
The Unknowns
Team Luxembourg
X Project
Rebirth
JavaScript Riders

MVP: TL Sam [110.0]

Breakthrough Candidates: ph Kyret / TU hartless / xp Kev

Now we have the reached the bottom division, which consists of the old format meaning no playoffs. I’m putting Pirate hackers as first place. Admittingly, I don’t know much about most of these teams but I saw a couple tables from ph and I’m fairly confident in this decision. Kyret and Cherry will be a very good duo in this division. Seiju / saika will provide some nice support as well. I have the unknowns second. Some of this roster is format mptv members from a few seasons back as well as some newer players. This team has some experience from the past with a couple players that should be able to do some damage in Hartless and Sleep. I’m giving them my bout of confidence to take 2nd place. This brings me to have TL in 3rd. Sam will be a major force to be reckoned with but I feel the duo aces from the teams above will outmatch a solo ace. I have X project in 4th. This is the team I’m most interested about in this division in how they will do. It’s the only one I have 0 idea where they will end up but 4th seems about right I guess? This team will be led by Kev / Quiqui / Secret trio I believe. I have Rebirth and JSR in the bottom 2, I haven’t seen much from either that gives me confidence to put in the higher spots. I gave rebirth the knock over JSR because France.

I have Sam as the MVP as he’s definitely one of the best players in the divisions and also has less team mate competition of those top players so he should be able to eat up more puntos. For breakthrough Candidates I have ph Kyret getting his name on the map, Hartless bring back the mptv pride, and xp Kev.

In conclusion, I’m looking very forward to this season and I hope the new format pans out how it was envisioned. The token note to mention to not be salty about these, I just love making these posts and just win out if that’s the case. I’m also not including promotion / relegation matches as I might not finish that in time and I have other things to do and the first match happening soon, oops. I wish every team the best of luck and may the best win!

That takes so much effort. Hats off to you
