CONFERENCE TIE-BREAKER RULE

d. In the case of a tie between two or more teams within a conference, there will be a set of checks to determine the higher placing team (Tiebreakers):
1. W-D-L Record
2. Most amount of wins vs tied opponents
3. Conference Record
4. +/- between tied opponents
5. Overall +/-

WILDCARD TIE-BREAKER RULES

A two-way tie in the wild card:

1. W-D-L Record
2. Most amount of wins vs tied opponents
3. +/- between tied opponents
4. Overall +/-

A three-way tie in the wild card when all three teams share a conference:

1. W-D-L Record
2. Most amount of wins vs tied opponents
3. +/- between tied opponents
4. Overall +/-

A three-way tie in the wild card when all three teams do not share a conference:

1. W-D-L Record
2. Head2head series wins between the 3+ tied teams (Explained more in-depth in the examples below)
3. Average +/- in head2head series
4. Overall +/-

The two examples below will explain why point 2 for the scenario above is required to keep the league as fair as possible.

EXAMPLE ONE

Team A beats Team B twice (+50 and +30)
Team B beats Team C (+10)
Team C Beats Team A (+60)

In this example, you can tell Team A and B share a conference, and Team C is in the other conference. If we go by Head2head Series, all teams are still tied 1-1 since:

Team A beat Team B head2head during the season.
Team B beat Team C head2head during the season.
Team C beat Team A head2head during the season.

This would bring it to tie-breaker 3 which is the average +/- between each series.

Team A (+40 average over team B, -60 on team C) = -20
Team B (-40 average over team A, +10 on team C) = -30
Team C (+60 over team A, -10 on team B) = 50

In this situation, Team C would be at the top, Team A would be 2nd, and Team B would last.

However, if every individual game counted then team A's tie-breaker (TB) column as "2" instead of 1 since it's counting both wins against Team B instead of just winning the series. This is an issue because Team A and Team B have one more game against one another than Team C due to them being in a different conference so the team in the opposite conference as the other two is at an extreme disadvantage counting every individual game due to having fewer games to get the tie-breaker (TB) column up.

EXAMPLE TWO

Example:
Team A beats Team B by 50 the first time, Team B beats Team A by 30 the second time.
Team B beats Team C (+10)
Team C Beats Team A (+20)

We would still get the "1-1" series head2head between everyone since Team A's win over Team B was larger than Team B's win over Team A. This gives us the same result as the one above leading all teams to be "1-1" in the head2head series

Team A beat Team B head2head during the season.
Team B beat Team C head2head during the season.
Team C beat Team A head2head during the season.

The third tie-breaker should be like this:

Team A (+20 average over Team B, -20 on Team C) = 0
Team B (-20 average over team A, +10 on team C) = -10
Team C (+20 over team A, -10 on team B) = 10

How it should be is Team C is first, Team A second, and Team B is last.

With counting every individual game, Team B would first (2-1), Team C in 2nd (1-1), and Team A in last (1-2). This is by counting every individual game again for the tie-breaker (TB) column rather than the season series as one unit between each team.
