Welcome to the continuation of our online paid FFA tournaments! We're happy to say that Resolution 1 was a success, running with about 30 players and boasting a £108 prize pot split by 50%/30%/20% for the top 3 players. The purpose of our paid FFA tournaments is to raise money for Embrace II, a LAN we're hosting in April located in Cambridge, UK. 50% of the entry fees go towards funding the LAN, and 50% of the entry fees go towards the prize pot. While playing this tournament, you're playing for a hefty prize and supporting competitive Mario Kart events. Our events are made possible by the community's efforts -- we couldn't do it without you.
Resolution II will run a single elimination format. 36 players will be split into 3 rooms and battle it out for 12 races, fighting for a top 4 position in their room to advance to the finals. To make the competitive energy even higher, players will be able to ban 2 tracks from being played in their room, every round. The tournament starts at 12pm EST and is expected to rush adrenalines for about 2 hours.
As stated, the entry fees from this tournament will be split 50% for funding our future LAN, and 50% for the prize pot. The prize pot will be split as follows:
1st: 50% of the prize pot
2nd: 30% of the prize pot
3rd: 20% of the prize pot
