Description of position:
We are looking to rebuild and rewrite the Mario Kart Central website from scratch. This is a big project that will take at least a year to complete. To reach our goal, we want to form a team of developers and designers who will work together to build this new website. The team will work similarly to how software teams work at real companies, so if you are someone who has had experience working on software professionally, or you are wanting to eventually start a career in this area, then this is a great team for you to join.
For developers, we are looking for the following:
If you don't meet all the requirements listed above, I would still encourage you to apply as we are looking to build a big team, and there will be room for you to grow and learn if you are motivated. Working on this team will be unpaid and considered as volunteering, you will not be signing any contract, and you will be able to leave the developer team at any time if you wish.

- Experience working on software projects (especially websites)
- Experience with technologies: HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, React, Python, SQL
- If you don't have experience with some of these, don't worry as we will be able to give you appropriate learning resources.
- Understanding of how to use git for version control management
- Ability to work in a team, and to pick up tasks that are delegated to you, even if you would rather work on a different task
- Experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar
- A portfolio of previous design projects
- Understanding of user psychology and what it takes to build a good user experience
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS is beneficial but not important
