Hey everyone. Below are the preliminary seedings for Season 24. This time around we've got 23 divisions so thank you to every team that ended up registering! Whether you are a newer team or one that has been around for a while, we want to thank you all for registering, as this obviously would not be possible without you!

As always, these seedings are not final and are subject to change based on information we receive over the following week. Teams are alphabetically listed in their respective conferences under each division alongside their tentative division admin(s).

Given the shifts that have occurred all throughout the league, you may notice that your team has ended up in a division you were not expecting (even if you previously won a division). As always, with the abundance of newer and returning teams that are eligible for the season — along with player transfers and other factors — the placement of other teams is naturally affected. Please keep this in mind before reviewing the seedings.

Additionally, this thread should only be used for discussing your own team's placement. If you feel your team's placement is not a good fit, either because you were put in a division too high or a division too low, you should address it here or by making a ticket in the MKUniversal Discord. All requests should be detailed, including thorough explanations with convincing proof, which can range from war results with 6/6 eligible players, placements in recent tournaments, and anything else you or your team deem to be relevant.

All teams will have until Wednesday, April 17, at 23:59:59 UTC (7:59 PM ET, 1:59 CET) to present their cases to be promoted or demoted on this thread or in a ticket. This may be subject to change depending on the number of cases we receive, so we encourage you to present your argument sooner rather than later in order to allow for a proper amount of time for staff to evalute it or in the event that the deadline changes.

Please note that cases will only be considered if they are posted on this thread or through a ticket; you should only message a staff member to inform them about your team's plans to make a case. Polaris would like to move down to Division 22 or 23, as we do not feel we are fit enough to thrive in Division 21.

I believe that NFO should be D4 rather than D5. There are multiple results which prove this.

-40 vs. Gv, a team seeded in D2:


2 wins vs. LM, which is seeded D4, both tables have strong allies:

3 Wins vs YF, with LUs primarily consisting of YFO (which is seeded D3) Also, in the second table NFO played a 5v6 for 4 races.

2 wins vs. Х, (first table also has a NFO Celestial member) who are seeded in D3:

+74 vs. JJ2, (with a NFO Celestial member in LU) a team seeded in the same div as us

+62 vs. UB, a team seeded in D4

-12 vs. zx vs. a team seeded in D2

+14 vs. LT, (again with a NFO Celestial member in LU) a team that is seeded in D3

Lastly, a +144 & a +26 vs. Nightfall (both with a NFO Celestial member in LU), a team seeded in D4

We're No skill, you have given us D15 & it seems to high for us, we have Akhe and Oziel but we're only 8 active players on the roster, of which a couple of them are new to the competitive, another like Larry is inactive, and Another like I has experience but I don't have that much level in competitive, we ask you if you could get off (lower) us 2 divisions (to D17 or 16,we prefer 17 because we have new players and is his 1st MKU), here there're some tables of examples, if we'll play in division 15, it wouldn't be that the people get 100 points and the other 4 won't go beyond 70, it's here the tables 1st table: ö= albert Japanese characters = Pavlo On table VS SBx ns japanese = Pavlo

Hi ! I'm here to talk about the seeding of Rainbow Fun Rubis. Considering the pre-seedings released yesterday, we would like to move up to d3. In order to confirm my request here are some results of RF1 against d3 teams and d4 teams which can explain why a d3 seed could be relevant :
Considering our profile being quite similar to the Yoshi Family Odyssée one and considering that this YFO seed is relevant.
I'm saying that we did the same result in MKU S23 (6th and 7th doing 1-1 in h2h), the fact that we both finished MKC Paradigm III in the gold 17th ranking and that we beat them, also considering that they didn't get important players in their best lineup and that and we didn't get one too, it seems nonsensical to see them seed 6th of d3 and seeing us not even seed 1 of d4 as we're in conf B.
Now with all of the tabs that are showed below, beating d3 like LT, WEC RR, DY and d2 like zx, also huge victories against d4 like Lz or a victory against LM with a RF3 ally can prove how relevant our request is.

Hello Aftermath thinks D19 is significantly too high for us, we appreciate that the divisions have been shaken around but we don't think WaveTLS leaving has been taken into consideration enough (hes gone up to D6 and did a lot for us as well as just scoring large indvs), we know we have Snuffy opted back in but they are just not comparable, no disrespect aimed at snuffy but they have not played in 6 months lol.

We have not played since last season so don't have any scrims to back up our point but here are some tables from the last two seasons that I think prove our point. (MKU tables are better for this anyway right?)

A loss (if you don't count the penalty) against prime 6 who are currently D23, while Wave scored 142 and was the only reason this match was comparably close. (Prime 6 have lost Juan who scored 72 but thats not the same as losing wave)

We lost to both Dark Matter and Chefkochs Kitchen last season and they are the division below us

Loss by 44 with wave team mvp again. (DAM lost Lunchtrey who scored 87 but again we don't think these are comparable)

The semis matches against CCK, Wave being team mvp every single game (CCK have also lost Gordon but again its not the same)

Table from last season where wave wasn't playing, they may be quite old tables but our team doesn't really change in ability that much so I believe they are still very accurate to our skill level.

Loss of 66 against Hardcore Noobs.

I know its not really a point you take into consideration but gamek0i who you have listed as in our top lineup only plays one war a season so we're not going to suddenly show up with theoretical perfect lineup every match.

We think D21 would be best for us but D20 would probably be fine, thanks for the consideration

J'appartiens à la team Frères de Poulpe pré seed en division 21. Nous pensons que la division 21 est trop haute pour nous et nous souhaiterions descendre de divisions. Nous avons récemment affronté la Shellstars (D22) où nous avons échoué deux fois sur deux, ainsi que la Hidrated Vallecanos (D23) où nous n'avons gagné qu'une war sur deux d'extrême justesse. Désolée, nous n'avons pas beaucoup de tabs à vous proposer car nous sommes avant tout une team fun, un seul war par semaine se déroule sur notre serveur, nous ne tryhardons pas, ce qui fait que nous avons un niveau général en dessous des autres teams.

Hello, our team Chefkochs Kitchen (CKK) requests to be put 1 or 2 divisions lower (D21-22).
One of our best players (Gordon) is not part of the team anymore and our 3 new players don't have any experience with this game on a competitive level.
It makes no sense for us to play in the same division again with a noticeably worse roster when we already performed quite poorly in D20 last season.
Recent scrim tables also show that we are getting outclassed by D20 teams with our new main roster.

Thanks in advance. We really hope we can play in a division that fits our level.

Hello, I am a member of Dreamed Ohana (d14) but this time this thread concerns Semi-Croustillants (our roster 2).

I noticed that Semi-Croustillants had not been written in the unseed teams. After discussing with an MKU staff, he told me that it was an error and that I had to make a thread in order to seed our roster 2.

Therefore, we would like to be seed in division 21. Here are some tabs to prove our seeding. Our roster is made up of several inexperienced players in competition but also players with experiences (like XB, Melon or Bubu that have the level to play with roster 1). This is why we think from our tabs that division 21 corresponds to us.

(Note that one or two tabs include a member of roster 1, several Semi-Croustillants members were unavailable the last two weeks due to vacations and various exams)

Fay is a member of roster 1, but this war Melon and Bubu was missing. So the result would be the same with Bubu instead of Fay.

Gekkou is a member of roster 1. Melon and Vibe didn't play all race. Without a roster 1 player this war, the result should have been a little worse.
That why d19 and d20 are a bit too high for us.

Hello, I am the leader of Kitten Crusaders, currently seeded at D18. I am requesting we be moved to a lower division.

Firstly, the most recent tournament we played, Paradigm, featured a loss against Kaminari (D18) and a small win against Dark Matter (D19), playing with nearly our full lineup at the time.

Since Paradigm, we have lost the weekend availability of our top player, AxMark. In the last MKU season, AxMark nearly claimed the title of MVP in our division, and far outscored the rest of our players with indivs. While I didn't know during the initial MKU registration window if his availability would hold, I received news yesterday that would be out for the season. Solar Storm believes we are underseeded. We picked up 2 top LU players (Mudky and xyoshi) after Paradigm, and one of our top LU players (Fenn) only ever played one match of Paradigm. During Paradigm, we only had at most 3 of top LU playing (which only happened once), with most wars having 1-2 of top LU, so judging us mainly based on our Paradigm performance would be a disservice to our skill. Since we'll be discussing our recent performances with top LU in mind, we would like to note that Messi would be top LU for MKU.

We won a 5v6 against Rosa (D10) in Paradigm with 2 of top LU:

We had a close match against Origin (D7) with 3 of top LU in Paradigm:

We had a close win against Rainbow Fun Saphir (D9) with 3 of top LU in Paradigm, but we've added Mudky to our roster as part of our top LU, simultaneously enhancing our roster while diminishing theirs. Additionally, since Mudky had already passed trial at Solar Storm and had been playing with us frequently at this point, he used this knowledge to ban 5 of our strongest tracks in Paradigm, leading to a much closer war than what we would see in MKU:

With 4 of top LU, we had a close loss against Arcanum (D6):

With 2 of top LU, a decent win against Rodstar Crusaders (D9):

And lastly, with 4 of top LU, we had another close loss against Dynamite (D3) and Greg from ze (D1) allying:

With MKU being more important to us, our top LU will gather significantly more often. With top LU, we believe that we would be a better fit for a higher Div. Thank you for your time .
