Introduction
Ladies and gentlemen, take your karts, bikes, or ATVs, and rev them up to 200 because the 10th Season of 200 League is here! After an exciting Season 9, we are stoked to present our milestone tournament! This season’s classic 200cc invitational will be running from April 27th through June 8th. The details of 200 League Season 10 are provided in the thread below.

Format and Ruleset
Depending on the number of entries, divisions will either be running with the 8-team conference that MKU runs or the 6-team WCL format. The description of each format is broken down in the spoilers below:

In Conference format, eight teams comprise each division, separated into two conferences of 4 teams each. The first five weeks of the season will be designated for round-robin play, where teams will play each opponent in their conference twice, and the out-of-conference opponents once. After week five, the teams who place first in their conferences will play in the playoffs. Similarly, the best-placing teams of the other six teams will be awarded a spot in the playoffs as well. The four teams will play in a best-of-3 semifinals and the winners will play in a best-of-3 finals.

For more information on the Conference Format, please visit this link here.

In WCL format, six teams comprise each division. The first five weeks of the season will be designated for round-robin play, where teams will play each opponent in the division twice. After week five, the team who places first in the regular season will have a bye week into finals. The teams which placed second and third in regular season play will face off in a best-of-3 semifinal in week six. The winner plays the regular season winner in the best-of-3 finals to determine the division winner.

For 200 League Season 10, we will be abiding by the Mario Kart Universal ruleset. For more information on the ruleset, please visit this link here.

Player & Team Registration
Teams have from the day of this post until Saturday, April 20th at 23:59:59 UTC to sign up and transfer players to their roster. To register, sign up on the 200 League Tournament Page (listed on the MKC Tournament Listing), or one of the two links on this page; those links are at the top and bottom of this thread. Team Managers or Leaders can sign the team up for the season and will receive the Team Representative role in the 200 League Discord Server. If a team does not have additional leaders, they may designate some members to be Representatives on the team’s profile after they have signed up. Those players will be Representatives for their team for the upcoming season.

If you are a Team Leader and are struggling to transfer players to your team due to a bug, please make a ticket with the Mario Kart Central - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Discord server. The link is here.

Additional Information
Potential Scheduling Conflicts

At the time of this posting, there are no scheduling conflicts with this season of 200 League. However, if there happens to be a tournament that conflicts with this season of 200L, please check and see if your players will be able to play out the whole season. Because 200L is a tournament run on Saturdays, there is an increased likelihood that this season may have conflicts with another tournament.

We encourage everyone who is interested in playing for the upcoming season to participate. Tournaments will be run on Saturdays at 21 and 22 CEST (3 PM and 4 PM EDT). Semi-Finals and Finals Matches will start an hour earlier at 20 CEST (2 PM EDT). So, if you or your team is interested in playing, feel free to sign up!

Rescheduling Matches
If at all possible, please try to play matches at the scheduled times. If a reschedule needs to happen, it must be done via staff discretion. This is not an opportunity that teams will have each and every week. If a reschedule needs to occur, please contact the opposing team to make sure the date works for both teams, then verify with staff that there is a rescheduled match.

Division Seeding
To help us improve accuracy and reliability with seedings, we ask that teams provide us with tables that show scrimmages that have taken place within your team. Based on these scrims, staff can make more accurate seeding decisions for this season.

While a 200L staff member is not needed in a server, having one is highly recommended to help with the seeding of teams. If you do not have a staff member in your server, please reach out to a 200L staff member to send tables for seeding. There may be a possibility of a staff member asking leaders or managers for war results to see where teams stand.

Tournament Results
During the season, we will be asking team representatives to submit their tables in their appropriate division chat in the 200 League Discord server. Please provide staff with all of the appropriate information, such as the final table, last race screenshot, all disconnections, room crashes, and player swaps.

We also ask that teams make their table in the 200L style rather than ones that are made for scrimmages to differentiate for tournament setting. To make a table for the tournament, please visit this site.

Opting Out
A reminder that players can opt out of a tournament if they choose to not participate in the season. If a player chooses to do so, they can simply go to the tournament page, find your registered team, find your name, and click the arrow which will allow you to opt out. If you wish to opt back in for the season, please follow the same process.

We are thankful for all of the support received in the last 9 seasons of 200 League, and are excited to make our milestone season a special one! We are looking forward to an amazing season with y’all and let’s switch our gears to 200cc!
